An app that shouldn’t exist and other stuff I wrote this week

Writing is a big part of how I’m coping with the world right now. It’s working for me. I’d love to hear how you’re all taking care of your brain during these extremely stupid times so drop a line in the comments. Here’s a few things I wrote that were published in the past week.

Stuff you should read

  • How COVID remade America David Wallace-Wells/The New York Times A vital bit of context to everything happening politically is that we lived through a traumatic event and never grieved or otherwise processed it. This multimedia essay explores that in a way I haven’t seen before.
  • potions and spells Sean Monahan/8ball Technology is becoming more like witchcraft—and people are treating it that way.

@JustinPotBlog I got rid of Chrome browser on my phone and downloaded the aggressively minimalist and lite browser, Neo Browser. No sudden slamming of ads and bad news when you open it. Bliss.
