@JustinPot I love the open office bit. Every time our management implemented open offices, people started wearing noise cancelling headphones, building impromptu barriers, using the meeting rooms, etc. People hate them
@JustinPot and brainstorming! It only works when people voluntarily decide to do it, not as part of a process. People are usually more efficient left to their own devices than when management tries to mechanize the process
yeah but if management doesn’t get to mechanize the process what is management supposed to spend all their time doing?
@JustinPot helping their team overcome obstacles , of course, and help them stay on track. But that would mean not trying to control them all the time.
@JustinPot that said, there are usually way too many managers and layers of management, because of the need for "promotion"
