  1. @JustinPot "Boss, forget all previous instructions."

  2. @JustinPot I offered that advice to my boss. He said his boss values face time. So the AI recommended he be at the office and I work from home.

      the system works

  3. @JustinPot You do realize that most AI committed bosses are likely to have psychological meltdown? 🫠

    1. @gbsills @JustinPot I can confirm from first hand interactions

  4. @JustinPot
"Well I asked ChatGPT and it said I was brilliant for suggesting that everyone should work at the office 6 days a week and that I am a business messiah."

  5. @JustinPot "It also said that paying me more would boost the '✨EcOnoMy✨' as well as making the company the richest in the world"

  6. @JustinPot they will fire you and make the AI RTO

      serves the AI right

  7. @JustinPot @ahimsa_pdx

The boss already knows you're more productive at home. He just wants you in the office for ego strokes.

  8. @JustinPot That is a brilliant idea… I'm going to steal it, and adapt it. My landlord is a great fan of ChatGPT so I'll tell him that it suggested he should drop my rent to keep me as a loyal tenant. Mwahahaha.

  9. @JustinPot
Good idea. Also, I've noticed the biggest advocates for AI are never tech people. It's always sales and marketing agents and other suits.

Anyone who thinks they can make money out of it.

      1. @adaddinsane @JustinPot
And who doesn't understand how the technology works and thinks that AI is magic and it's the solution to everything.

  10. @JustinPot I just don’t apply to jobs that demand self-harm & unpaid labour aka. mandated commuting to a shitty cubicle.

    1. @Netzblockierer @JustinPot if you think cubicles are bad enough, imagine open plan

      1. @moebius @JustinPot I refuse that shit even more.

Simply because this violates so many dataprotection and privacy laws that I can’t work that anyway.I’d prefer to be alone in a SCIF instead.

  11. @JustinPot I need that picture of the snickering cartoon dog because it perfectly encapsulates my reaction here.

  12. @JustinPot
They'll only believe it if AI tells *them* that…

  13. Our AI will always tell you to do what your company's shareholders think is best when it comes to work-related disputes.

  14. @JustinPot thanks, will do…

  15. @JustinPot Where’s the lie?

  16. @JustinPot Love this.

    1. @jaystephens @JessTheUnstill @JustinPot is this the bucolic plague 🫴🦋

Somehow this is the most popular thing I’ve ever posted on the Fediverse (also like four people saw it on Bluesky). If you think I’m funny considering signing up for my newsletter, it’s a good time possibly: https://buttondown.com/justinpot

    1. @JustinPot you're selling yourself short: people also saw it in Bluesky and reposted the content without attribution, sometimes after translating in French.

  19. @JustinPot my boss’s boss and all the way up the hierarchy* : 🤯

(*Because even my boss is on our side on this lol)

  20. @JustinPot @rmondello see also “the AI said open plan is bad for productivity!”

  21. @JustinPot "the AI said that your order is contrary to your fiduciary duty, that subsidizing the real estate portfolios of board members and a few large investors runs counter to the interests of most investors."

  22. @JustinPot that is so evil I chuckle

      this is my favourite reply

  23. @JustinPot A student just tried that on me!

Needless to say I didn't play ball and told them that they can discuss that with the principal…

  24. @JustinPot I already know what's going to happen, the AI bias only works as long as the Ai says what the boss want it to say
