LinkedIn adding a “This seems like AI slop” button is so funny. If anything LinkedIn needs a “huh this seems to be written by a human” button.

    I'd also love a filter button that would allow me to hide all AI-related posts by "thought leaders" on LinkedIn.

    Ok sure, this would most likely result in a blank page with no posts on it… which would be an improvement IMHO.

    @JustinPot I'm pretty sure the button is just there to flag the worst slop, the stuff anyone can see is slop — so that LinkedIn can tweak their own model to produce less obvious slop. It's got nothing to do with reducing the amount of slop on the platform.

    @JustinPot I feel like it’s ultimately a source of data to recognize what readers see as slop and train AI to write in a more humanized way, while making the reporters feel good by recognizing slop.
