I set up my website to push both full blog posts and short status updates to both Bluesky and the Fediverse. The best part: replies from both show up on my site as comments. This open internet thing is pretty cool.

@JustinPot I like what I see so far but I'm still confused. SO BS says if you ever decide to leave, you own everything. Um, how? Where would someone follow me to?
I am far from a Bluesky expert but there are other services connecting to ATProtocol already. A few I found by searching around:

https://blacksky.community
How did you do it!? I want it for harper.blog
Two plugins (and a lot of fiddling!)
wordpress.org/plugins/atmo…
wordpress.org/plugins/acti…
Will check it out. I love all this stuff
@JustinPot
You can't push full blog posts to BlueSky, though, can you? They still have a 300 character limit?
I dug through the settings a bit and you can choose what happens: a link card, a simple link, or a thread. I could be misunderstanding, though. I did the card, here’s what that looks like: https://bsky.app/profile/justinpot.com/post/3mnfxkuck6yrc
@JustinPot @jhpot have you written up how to do this? Iβm interested.
@JustinPot damn, that is seriously cool. Nice work.
Thanks! I’m hoping it motivates me to actually blog regularly again, fingers crossed.
